A slant marker is short and upright with a slanted face, usually 12-16 inches tall. While not tall enough to be considered an upright monument, a slant grave marker has a wider base that slants toward the back, presenting an upward profile. Because the granite is cut to sit at a steep angle, these markers stand out in a cemetery.
